Southridge Public School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 school. It opened in 1965 and is located at 1425 Queens Boulevard in Southwest Kitchener. The Southridge school community welcomes a diverse group of people and cultures. Southridge has an English as a Second Language component with 32 different languages and 18 countries represented in our halls! Parents, students and staff work together in a variety of ways to make Southridge a great place for learning and growing together.
Southridge School is the home of the Southridge Superstars! There are approximately 470 superstar students at our wonderful community school. At Southridge we believe that appropriate behaviour will be acquired through the learning process, which is a shared responsibility between the home, the school and the community. Our Code of Conduct emphasizes positive actions and applies to everyone in the school. In accordance with provincial and WRDSB policy, this code of conduct “governs the expectations of students, staff, volunteers and visitors on school property”.

Students are recognized for following these expectations by having their names read on the announcements when they receive Superstar nominations. The school mascot is a panda bear named Super Bear.
Our friendly, well-qualified staff provides a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to work hard and excel. Our certified teachers are university educated. Within our teaching ranks we have teachers with Master Degrees and specialist certifications in Primary Education, Special Education, Reading, English as a Second Language and French. Teachers continue to participate in professional development workshops and courses. Working with our teaching staff is an exemplary team of Educational Assistants, a part-time Child and Youth Worker, Secretarial and Custodial personnel.
